What I have seen as the common thread of successful coaches, making 6-figures and creating freedom with their time, are three things. To implement these three things, it’s important to fully grasp the nuances of each, so read thoroughly as I want to see you creating the results you want with your business, and quickly!
These three things are based on studying my clients and colleagues over the past 9 years I’ve been a coach.
Firstly: Successful coaches follow their own inner wisdom for the way they want to go with their business.
Your inner knowing, your inner wisdom, your future self – all of these are the same – and this inner you holds the keys to your success.
Inside of you, there is a dream for the business and life you want.
This deepest part of you knows you are meant to have everything that’s been uniquely placed inside of you to create. You are capable of it. So we will assume the future you has already created it.
From now until you have created this dream inside –
This is what you’re meant to be creating for a fulfilled life.
The fulfillment doesn’t come once you have created it.
But the action of creating it and working on bringing it into existence is where your fulfillment comes from.
And, it’s also the fastest way to see the results you want.
This is when business becomes “in flow” and “easeful” as your reality catches up to the vision you’re embodying.
And if you’re not experiencing this yet, it’s because your own inner knowing isn’t being amplified in your business yet.
You may be playing small. Not moving forward. Hiding behind your doubts and your fears. Looking to your circumstance as a reason it won’t work instead of a reason it will. Essentially, you’re inner knowing is buried.
You’re acting from “stuck” emotions versus the emotions you will feel as you embody your future self.
To create the business and life you want – you want to begin embodying your future self now.
Let’s say for conversation’s sake that you want to create 6-figures and have the freedom of working 20 hours per week and that’s it.
(But decide for yourself what you want your numbers to be – as that’s part of your own future self vision and knowing this will help you to design the business you want, on your terms).
But let’s say you want 6-figures and a 20 hour per week schedule.
You will start with your vision and then begin deciding how you did it.
What are all the elements of that business design?
Create it and then show up each day as the 6-figure coach working the amount of time you want with your unique plan.
Do this…
Across your powerful coaching message you bring together
Across the niche you choose to help.
Across every mentor you hire.
Across every launch you do.
Across every funnel you run.
Across how you market to attract your clients.
Show up as fully YOU.
This is the fabric of your business and is the most important piece to create the business and life you want.
Secondly: Successful coaches have a mentor showing them what they don’t yet know.
When you look to your future self and embody her/him, what mentor would you hire to help you move your business forward to where you want it to be? What mentor did you use to help you act on your own inner knowing?
There’s a way to hire and work with business mentors and a way to not work with them…
Here’s what it looks like to work with a mentor while embodying your future self:
-
You get excited about the ideas the mentor brings to the table that you haven’t thought of before yourself and decide how you want to proceed that feels fully aligned with your vision.
-
You bring ideas to your business mentor to discuss and process and come out of the sessions with clarity and a knowing of the direction you will use to move forward.
-
A great mentor will help you amplify your inner knowing and unique message you have to give to the world vs. making the relationship be their way or the highway. They will help you bring out the wisdom you have trapped inside underneath the emotions that keep you stuck.
Here’s what it looks like to work with a mentor while not embodying your future self:
-
Wait to ask the mentor before you feel like you can make a move. Falling into this is dependency and will cause you to show up smaller.
-
Think you have to do everything they say otherwise you’ll mess something up. This is your business… it’s impossible to mess something up when it’s part of your path.
Thirdly: Successful coaches take decisive action quickly.
They actively embody their future self daily which creates feelings of:
peace, calm, settledness, confidence
When faced with a decision in their business (which is all of the time as you grow) –
They make the decision from their future self.
Here’s how it sounds:
“Did I use this [insert what you are deciding] to help me get to making 6-figures as a coach working 20 hours per week?”
If yes, then they act on it, trusting themselves that it’s the way to move forward.
When a decision presents itself – they make that bold decision and always from the future self-space.
Successful businesses are built on bold decisions, made fully and decisively.
Also, when making decisions from your future self – your inner knowing – you don’t beat yourself up for past decisions on investments that didn’t yield the result you had wanted at the time.
Instead, you know that it was all part of the journey and has no bearing on what you use now to get to where you want to go.
You decisively find solutions to do everything you want to do.
You make decisions based on real data and the future self emotions vs. the scared, doubtful emotions of who you’ve always been that keep you stuck in the same place.
You interrupt your current pattern of normalcy in your business to give yourself evidence that you can make decisions as your 6-figure coach self. You do this consistently to keep yourself in the energy of money.
And.. just as importantly… when you’re not in that energy, you also don’t make it mean anything when you’re not. You simply acknowledge the old neural pathways in your brain trying to keep you safe and keep you from evolving into becoming the 6-figure coach you know you are meant to be. Then you choose to proceed differently.
All three of these threads are found in every successful coach I have coached and seen.
Out of these three threads of successful coaches – which one hit you the hardest? Which one are you working on the most right now?
