Today I want to talk about creating new life in your coaching business. This is for those of you who have a coaching business that doesn’t feel quite aligned or is not making the money you want yet as if that’s the case then you can implement this right away.
It’s also for those who want to launch their coaching business too. If that’s where you’re at, this topic will give you permission to start right now instead of waiting for the perfect conditions.
When I last breathed new life into my business, I signed $150k in contracts in the less than 3 months that followed. So going through this process periodically in your business works and is so important! The reason I was thinking about this topic of new life today and why it’s important to breathe new life into your coaching business is two-fold:
- This past year, I reinvented my coaching program.
- I was pregnant and gave birth to my son, Chester.
Both of these things were business-altering for good reason.
I reinvented my coaching program as I am committed to providing the very most value possible to my clients. As you work with clients over the years, you learn what they most need as you find the holes in your programs and how you run things. So, I breathed new life into my private coaching offer and now every single new client who signs up gets an entirely new experience that gives them every single thing they need to have set up in their business to have an online brand that attracts clients so they have everything they need to get to 6-figures quickly and sell high-ticket programs from the start.
I signed several amazing clients into this private coaching program, and now I’ll be taking this and doing the same thing for new members of my group program, 6-Figure Coach Academy. I’m very excited about all of the changes inside of my programs as it means even more people in the world will get the coaching they need to change their lives and my clients will get to experience even more success.
This reinvention happened towards the end of last year, along with finding out I was pregnant with my son, Chester. I gave birth in early August and throughout my maternity leave over the past few months, I have been going through another “breathe new life” period for my business. I have decided that more time with my family is important to me, and I decided exactly how much I wanted and created my work schedule around that.
What’s important for you to know is that with every breathe new life reinvention that you do is that just because you’re working less or switching your offer up, it does not mean you EVER have to sacrifice less revenue coming in, when you design your business on purpose. It’s actually the opposite when you do this well – you can use the reinvention as an opportunity to create even more revenue.
For me with having my son and deciding to work only 16 hours a week, it gives me the great opportunity of focusing on the moves in my business that will allow me to grow more as I don’t have time to mess around. The time I’m spending on my business MUST be worth it to me with what I’m doing in that time as it’s time I’m not spending with my son. It puts things even more into perspective.
This can definitely be true for you too, even if you don’t have a brand new baby – Your life is precious. We all only have so many years on this planet to enjoy life, love hard, and help others. So play big. Do the moves that are bold and choose that whatever you spend time on, it’s well worth it. When you do this, you’ll be bursting with love for your business and so much energy that will come from inside of you because you’re choosing on purpose what you want to do and then you’re proud of yourself for going all-in during the time you are working to do the things you set out to do.
How to know if you need to breathe new life into your business
So, how do you know if you need to breathe new life into your business?
If you feel misaligned to the work you’re doing in your business, how you’re serving your clients or how you’re marketing, or if their is a big life change that’s happened and you want more time there – but you’re still doing the same things in the same way or you are not energized in the hours you’re working – you need to breathe new life into it. If you don’t, you’ll see a decline.
Doing the same things in the same way when you have outgrown it in your life and what you really want is a recipe for showing up mediocre in your business, which will ripple into your sales, into your client results, and into your presence in other areas of your life – with your own self-care and your family. You want to align your business to what you truly desire, with where you are in your life and who you are – today. I like to do a quarterly re-evaluation of businesses with my clients every single quarter to make sure we are on track and moving forward on purpose and aligned as your highest earning is found here.
The Step-By-Step to Breathing New Life into Your Business
- Take time out to envision the business you want. Take a couple hours or a day or a whole week out to envision the business you want. How do you want it to look like? What’s not working currently?
- Decide what your non-negotiables are outside of your work that are important to you to spend time towards in this season of your life.
- Decide what is most important to you in your business – how many clients do you want to work with 1-to-1? Or how much time do you want to work within a group program? What do you most want to do?
- Decide how you want to market your business and play big to reach the client goals you have, all while using the resources you have right now – in money and time.
Marketing your business is always just a combination of money for ads or time for organic marketing and real, human conversations.
It’s important to note, as many people ask me: “Well, I want to spend money on ads, and I want lots more time to market my business – but I don’t have thousands upon thousands of dollars to spend and I don’t have tons of hours either.
Firstly, you never want to focus on what you don’t yet have and use it as a reason to not move forward.
Instead, get real with yourself – You just don’t want to spend thousands of dollars in ads just yet.
You also don’t want to spend the 24 hours you have in your day to work on your business.
Instead of focusing on what you don’t want to do…
Focus on what you DO want to do to create the result you want in your business.
Breathing new life into your business is about deciding what work you want to focus on doing and when in your calendar you’ll do it – so that it aligns with what you really want to do right now with your life’s realistic full picture, so you can create extraordinary impact and income.
You’ll know you’re on the right track when you’ll find yourself asking the question:
“What do I want to give right now to help someone move closer toward achieving the results they want in their life?”
This question breathes life into your business as it’s working with reality and focused on what you want to do with where you’re at right now to move you to reaching the goals in your business that you want.
Instead of:
“I can’t move forward because I don’t have enough time or money”
This is stuck thinking and kills businesses.
You want to focus on exactly what will move things forward – right now.
This is true if you’re new to business, it’s true if you had a launch that didn’t yield the results you expected, it’s true if you had a big life circumstance come up, it’s true when you find yourself in a bit of a rut and wanting to make more money or reach more people in a bigger way. When you’re in the energy of service, and you’re showing up, you attract clients to you.
Breathing new life into your business keeps you in the energy of service as it’s honoring you and what you most want to do in this season of your life.
